The Accu-Chek Active blood glucose meter is a coding meter that will allow alternate site testing for diabetic patients.

The Accu-Chek Active blood glucose meter from Roche Diagnostics has an easy to grip ergonomic handle and does require coding for test strips. The Accu-Chek Active meter requires a blood sample size of 1.0µL, holds 200-memory tests, inputs date and time stamp for each result, and is capable of giving the user fast test results in 5 seconds (inside) or 10 seconds (outside). 7 day and 14 day testing averages as well as alternate site testing are also available with Accu-Chek Active meter.

I've had diabetes for 10 years now and have gone through many different testing meters. For the price the meter does its job, but I want more functions with mine. This meter doesn't deliver what I want (accuracy, shape, strip release and no coding). I'm looking forward to my next meter.
