I use this meter to verify other meter readings. Test strips are cheapest and yes it is compact. But accuracy is most important criteria for me.

When I went hyooglycemic with the first one that read 121 I realized that the meter was unreliable. I had been having extremely high readings. I cannot trust this meter but it is the only one that my medicare insurance will pay for the test strips and lancets for. I will have to buy those for my old meter.
