which it came in brighter colors. the gray looks kind of dull. i like the size of the test strip bottle and the clear bottom so i can see how many strips are in the vial without opening it, especially helpful when it's raining or snowing.

User Review

Pros Small, thin, stylish like new technology products, easy to use. the bottles of test strips are thinner than the rounds ones made by other companies.
Cons color of meter

this meter steps the game up for the other manufacturers. For a while there I thought Bayer was stuck in the old days with the Breeze2 and it's design. Looks like they were cooking up something in their lab with the Contour USB Meter. http://www.freecontourusbmeter.com

This meter is so easy to use. I plugged it into my laptop and it automatically downloaded the software so there was no confusing software setup like my last meter from another manufacturer. The bright display on this tiny meter was brilliant and I love the fact that I don't have to buy batteries for the Contour USB because of the rechargeable battery function. Finally, a diabetes manufacturer is starting to think ahead of the trend. Can't wait to see what kind of glucose meter they come out with next... or a competitor comes out with to compete with the Contour USB glucose meter... Great job Bayer!

Pros Small, easy to use, easy to get my blood test results onto my computer, conveniently fits in my pocket

I've had diabetes for 10 years now and have gone through many different testing meters. For the price the meter does its job, but I want more functions with mine. This meter doesn't deliver what I want (accuracy, shape, strip release and no coding). I'm looking forward to my next meter.

This meter is very easy to use. My favorite function on this meter is not having to code my test strips before using them. Saving time from coding is a must function that I must have when buying a meter. The plus and minus buttons on top of the meter makes it easy for me to review my test result history too.

Great meter! The freeStyle Flash meter is small and easy to carry around. My wife wanted a new diabetic meter that was easier to carry around when we go places. With the Flash meter she sometimes loses the meter in her purse because of how small it is. The backlight on the meter is helpful too when she is in a low lit room.

I like this little meter that uses the same test strips as my true result that my doctor gave me. I have the red one that i carry in my purse so it's easy to find. i like being able to just pop the meter onto a bottle of test strips and be on my way. I have almost thrown away the meter when i was done with a bottle of test strips though. so other than that it is a great meter.

User Review

Pros Small, Lightweight, easy to test in public without anyone noticing
Cons attaches to a bottle of test strips so i almost threw it in the garbage

I like the fact that this meter comes with a disc of test strips so i don't have to handle individual test strips. My hands shake a lot and it's much easier to handle a disc once for every 10 test strips instead of handling individual tiny strips. (which i end up dropping and then having to replace). I would recommend this meter to anyone else that has hand tremors or arthritis.

User Review

Pros test strip disc, no coding, downloadable to computer, alternate site testing
Cons large meter, blood sample size, not many features

The TRUEresult supposedly offers clinically proven accuracy, as demonstrated by the blood glucose test results highlighted on the Home Diagnostics Inc website. The accuracy is the best feature but that can always be argued.

While it does have some other great features, the meter is not very distinguishable from other available glucose meter choices.

User Review

Pros - Fast and Small Sample Size
- Alarms and Reminders
- No Coding
- Alternate Site Testing - My fingers don't hurt anymore
Cons -Was Hard to find this meter
-Still not compatible with the Diabetes Management software from Home Diagnostics.

My husband of 43 years loves this meter. When I'm not around to help test his sugar level he is capable of testing on his own without my assistance. The thing he likes most about autocode meter is that he gets his results read to him and he knows instantly what his sugar level is. We both highly recommend this meter. Thank you for such a great product.

User Review

Pros -No coding makes it so much easier to work
-Helps my blind diabetic husband wonderfully. He can test on his own
-Easy to understand results from the speaker
-Small blood sample

This meter is great overall because it's everything you need to test your blood sugar without having to bring a backpack to carry it. I do like the fact that you don't have to handle strips but the fact that there are so many moving parts inside has caused me to go through them faster than any other meter I've ever used. I highly recommend this meter for anyone that has a child with diabetes. Makes life a bit easier.

User Review

Pros everything comes in one bundle. don't have to hold individual strips. lancing device is attached to meter so i don't lose it
Cons lots of moving parts, kind of bulky, heard stories about the test strip chemistry

I got this meter for my mother because she is blind and has a friend that got a talking meter. I did a quick search online and found a pharmacy that would deliver it directly to my mother. This meter is great. It was easy for me to show my mom how to use it and my mom loves the voice telling her the blood glucose results. Thumbs up to the manufacturers.
